This paper reviews related researches, establishes a model including factors that influence knowledge transfer, and suggests that three facets influencing knowledge transfer include characters of knowledge source, characters of knowledge receivers, and context of knowledge transfer. Then, based on the data collected from architecture design industrial cluster around Tongji University, the arthor conduct an empirical analysis to test the theoretical model. The results show that: first, proximity between firms and learning culture significantly improve knowledge transfer within clusters; second, better absorptive capacity and smaller organizational distance will enhance knowledge transfer in some extent; third, knowledge ambiguity will hinder knowledge transfer within clusters; finally, compared with further knowledge distance, medium knowledge distance has a positive impact on knowledge transfer. Managerial implications of this study are also addressed.
