Endogenous Innovation Models of Generic Technologies in Zhejiang Electromechanical Industry

Although there exists big-sized enterprises in Zhejiang electromechanical industry, most of the electromechanical enterprises in Zhejiang Province are SMEs, which reside in the young stage of endogenous innovations, and stay in the bottom of the international production chain. To challenge this handicap, generic technologies in Zhejiang electromechanical industry must be fostered to satisfy the demands of the market. This paper analyzes the characteristics of Zhejiang electromechanical generic technologies, explains their developing models, and conclusively proposes suggestions both to the enterprises and the government.
