Approaches to Building Simple 47 and 78 GHz Transverter Systems

This talk is about the practical aspects of building transverters and their interface systems for the 47 and 78GHz bands. I know that there are many people collecting parts with a desire to get on these two bands. However, there are a number of frustrations and questions. Where does one get parts at a reasonable price and what design do I use? Many of the stations on the air have excellent transverters that are beyond my budget, technical ability and parts supply. I need a critical part and cannot find it.
