摘要

Mathematical modeling is a well established tool for analysis and design of metallurgical processes.This paper deals with modeling electromagnetic,fluid flow,and heat transfer phenomena in electromagnetically driven flow systems.The philosophy of formulating these problems is discussed together with comprtational methodologies for solving these coupled phenomena.The specific examples used to illustrate these concepts include electromagnetic stiring,melting and casting systems.
