A measurement technique on thickness distribution of spinning processed alumnium 6061-O cylinder of different 2, 4. 6 and 8 roller passes by laser ultrasonic using time of flight method is presented. Comparison of the thickness changes due to rough surfaces (spiral wake produced by spinning process) measured using laser ultrasonic method shows good agreement with the one measured by micrometer. Change in thickness with a minimum value of 50(im due to surface roughness over different portions of the processed cylinder can be measured by the laser ultrasonic method.
