The growth rate of potassium sulfate crystals in supersaturated solution adjusted to a quasi steady state was examined. As distinct from the ordinary crystal growth rate of many inorganic substances, the growth rate of potassium sulfate crystal was observed to be faster with a lower temperature than about 15 deg. There is evidence that theere may already be some fine crystals, not yet of visible size, the in the supersaturated solution of potassium sulfate before the seed crystals of potassium sulfate are allowed to grow, and the fine crystals probably deposit on the surface of the seed crystals. This deposition of the fine crystals may enhance the crystal growth rate.
