Cause-Analysis in Diseases formed Treatment related to Matibei Temple in Zhangye

The cave in Matibei Temple is characterized by special stratum structure and hydrogeology condition.Owing to natural cave with large span under the temple,rock mass of the cave 3# has been severe collapse and moved distortion;the crown of the cave7 # in Matibei Temple has sunk and rock mass at the arc toe of the cave portal is deformed by squeeze.Now the danger is very serious,thus it is necessary to strengthen the existing caves so that it is possible to keep preservation period of cultural relies longer.The paper,based on state of cave diseases in Matibei Temple and analysis of diseases mechanism,puts forward appropriate physical strengthening measures.Dangerous rock strengthening is adopted as a main control measure for treatment and integrated with strengthening by anchor,support,grouting and drainage to ensure the safety of caves & cultural relics.In the engineering practice,there is a better effect performed by adopting appropriate strengthening measures and obeying repair principle of "repairing it as the original".
