Recently, digital watermarking technique is proliferated in the area of copyright protection, fingerprinting, and data hiding. But the ways of attack become various too. In the image watermarking, we can say that geometric attacks are the most challenging problems. In this paper, we present a new approach for watermarking of digital images providing robustness to geometrical distortions and being able to embed multi-bits. To embed the multi-bits information, we use the position information of cross-correlation peaks with base watermark. And RS information is used for correcting the geometrical distortions. The performance of the presented scheme is evaluated after various geometrical attacks. Results show that the fact that the scheme is robust to geometrical distortions and effective to extract multi-bits information.
