Analytical solutions are implemented and used to evaluate the acoustic insulation providedby multilayered walls when subjected to the acoustic pressure waves generated by airbornemoving 2.5D sources. All calculations are performed in the frequency domain. The methodused does not entail limiting the thickness of the layers and it fully takes into account thecoupling between the fluid (air) and the solid panel. The technique requires knowing thesolid displacement potentials and fluid pressure potentials. The displacement and pressurepotentials are then written as a superposition of waves. Time signatures are obtained bymeans of inverse Fourier transforms. The results are compared with those found when thesource is 3D.
