A RESEARCH PROGRAM IN PROCESS ANALYZER DYNAMICS

The Committee on Dynamics of Process Analyzers has been formed to further investigation of analyzer response characteristics. Analyzers display many familiar lags and nonlinearities which can be characterized by established sinusoidal and pulse techniques. The committee invites suggestions and comments on methods of investigation and priorities for work. It desires particularly to learn of unreported industrial work on analyzer dynamics whose publication may be encouraged.
