It is necessary to control plutonium mass in solid wastes before their shipment in storage forrnaccounting and control nuclear materials at facilities with produce or reprocess the PU-contentrnsubstance. The wastes can be packed in different containers and have various matrix. All thesernfactors significantly influence the measurement accuracy.rnIn frame of the project of TACIS program the facility for non-destructive assay of plutoniumrnin drums with wastes was delivered and installed in RMTC. The facility testing was carried out byrnRMTC specialists. They developed the measurement technique for PU mass assay in wastes. Thisrntechnique may be applied in facilities of fuel cycle. The training course for facilities specialists onrnuse this technique and device was developed.rnThe report presents information about determination of facility parameters, techniques ofrnwastes assay, wastes container models of different matrix, measuring results of container models.rnThe information about training course is also presented.
