摘要

Model-based and Transform-based methods are two approaches inrncompressing an ECG signal. A technique to combine bothrntechniques is proposed. Differential Coding for ECG Signal isrnused as model-based compression method and discrete cosinerntransform is used as transform-based method. With model-basedrnapproach DC value and R-peak of the ECG signal is removed andrntherefore the remaining signal have smaller range of amplitude tornbe compressed. The results show that the proposed technique canrnimprove the compression ratio of ECG signal compared to otherrntechniques.
