POWER EXCHANGE GAME IN THE ELECTRICITY MARKET

At the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lappeenranta University of Technology, the studies include subjects related to the electricity market operations. The Department of Electrical Engineering has developed a game in which the theory can be used in practice: in the game, students are given the responsibility to manage the electricity markets of power companies. The aim of the game is that students are given a possibility to come into first contact with actual analyzing, planning and decision-making, which are skills required on the open power markets.
