Digital Format of Experience Sampling Method-Transformation, Implementation, and Assessment

The experience sampling method was transformedrninto a digital format and examined in the Webrnenvironment to elicit on-line Web users’ experiencesrnthrough multiple iterations of an on-line questionnaire. Byrnsampling Web users’ on-line experiences and detectingrnWeb users’ situated experiences from a time point veryrnclose to their actual experiences, this tool can collectrnreliable and valid data with minimal distortion. This toolrncan effectively and unambiguously tap Web users’rninternal experiences associated with their use of the Web.rnData on Web users’ on-line experiences were collectedrnand analyzed to evaluate the reliability and validity of therntool. This tool should be applicable to other fields to elicitrnWeb users’ situational experiences and perceptions in arnvariety of research contexts.
