Motion response of a spread moored barge over a sloping bottom

The paper investigates the motion response and wave loadsrnon a moored barge over, or close to, an underwater ridgeu0001rnIncreased added mass and damping in very shallow waterrnare important aspects which are given particular focus.u0001 Itrnis also demonstrated that variations in the bottom topograu0002rnphy, and the associated wave diu0003raction and wave enhanceu0002rnment over a submerged ridge. Has a considerable inu0004uencernon the magnitude and the general form of the barge reu0002rnsponse. One important observation is therefore that localrnbathymetry needs to be accounted for when assessing thernresponse of a nearby Floater. The overall conclusions in thernpaper are sustained by numerical examples, based on linearrndiu0003raction calculations, where the barge and the sloping searnfloor are modelled as a combined twou0002body problem.
