Analysis of Wave Envelope Spectrum in Coastal Waters of Radial Sand Ridges

Based on the field measured wave data at south and north part of radialrnsand ridges, the wave envelope spectra are calculated on the basis of thernenvelope theory. Then the analyzed comparisons of the nondimensionalrnaverage wave envelope spectra of these two areas are madernand the fitting formulas are obtained. Some relevant parameters arernutilized to change and simplify these formulas for practical application,rnreceiving empirical formulas eventually. Among them, the groupinessrnfactors GFH and GLF are considered and their values are proposed.rnFinally, the relative errors of the spectral peak value and the zerothrnorder moment are analyzed and the results indicate that the empiricalrnwave envelope spectra fit well with the measured wave envelope spectra.
