Soft magnetic components are widely used in electrical power conversion and power management systems, both as energy-storage and energy-transfer elements. Such power conversion technologies require knowledge of high frequency, wide temperature characteristics of the magnetic materials. In particular, the focus of this work is to present sine wave and square wave voltage excitation data including specific core loss (SCL) data, and dynamic B-H loop characteristics for selected soft magnetic tape core materials under high temperature, high frequency, and high flux density conditions.
