Bio-engineering aspects of articulated concerete block revetment systems

Articulated concrete b lock systems are used on a wide variety of soil stabilization projects such as: detention ponds, shorelines, dikes, storm water conveyance channels, dams, spillways, bridge pier protection and more. ACB systems are comprised of a geotextile underlayment, an ACB block matrix, stone or soil aperture backfill, and(in most applications) vegetative cover.
