Brightness perception of white surfaces was investigated in a single booth compartment, with a small reference light blended in into the light path, where the illumination of the test surfacernwas alternatively illuminated by two RGB-LED sources of equal correlated colour temperaturernand luminance, but different short wavelength component. Brightness perception differedrnsignificantly for the two illuminations. Observers could be categorized – similarly as found in arnprevious investigation – into three groups: some found the light with shorter blue LEDrnwavelength brighter, others the light with longer. Some found no major difference.
