Due to the ability to provide collision-free packets transmission regardless of the traffic load, TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) has been applied frequently in Mobile Ad hoc networks. It has previously proposed demand-assigned multiple access (DAMA) TDMA algorithm which is based on demands and provides QoS (Quality of Service) guarantees in paper [1]. However, the limitations of DAMA lie in its incomplete utilization of the channel bandwidth and providing slight QoS for higher priority packets. For these reasons, we propose a modified TDMA algorithm which can solve the above problems. Furthermore, we verify the effectiveness of our proposed protocols by illustration. The analytical results show that our extended protocol improves channel utilization dramatically compared with the previous protocol, especially in stressed networks.
