摘要

A new Energy Code for office buildings in Israel,rncurrently under development, is presented. This codernis based on a prescription approach, which can berneasily applied as a tool for the design of officernbuildings through all the design stages including thernearly ones. The prescription approach suggested isrnbased on the results obtained from an energeticeconomicrnoptimization model that provides arnrecommended and preferred prescription for officernbuilding under prescribed constraints. A sensitivityrnanalysis of the optimized solution follows. Thernsensitivity analysis allows modifications of thernrecommended prescription allowing for the creationrnof a wide range of design alternatives and inrnaddition to figure out what are the design variablesrnwith the highest impact on the building energyrnconsumption and cost. The way of using thernprescriptions as a building code is explained as wellrnas the method to determine the energetic rank of thernchosen solution.
