The RSB XS-00 project was initiated and will be completed by a group of Aerospace Engineering Seniors at the University of Colorado at Boulder. This project design is a single stage rocket carrying atmospheric measuring equipment to be launched from a sounding balloon. The balloon will carry the rocket to near 80,000 feet where the rocket will launch, puncture the balloon and ascend to an altitude of near 150,000 feet. During flight, the telemetry system will be transmitting pressure, temperature, and acceleration data to a ground station for analysis and compilation.
