摘要

This paper evaluates the thermal comfort conditions of a naturally ventilated atrium in summer in Taiyuan, arntypical city of North China, using objective measurement and subjective assessment. Questionnaires wererncollected from the occupants in the atrium and the environmental parameters were measured to calculate thernpredicted mean vote (PMV) value using Fanger's model. The survey has shown that the neutral temperaturernbased on thermal sensation votes (TSV) is higher than that based on the PMV and thermal comfort zone obtainedrnfrom the survey is not in consistent with that of ASHRAE. New thermal comfort zone applicable in North Chinarncan be provided for the references of design.
