Information literacy is both a common and anrnimportant learning activity with higherrneducation. That said, it is under-theorized as arnprocess and as a path to a product. In order tornmeet the need for theory, the four panelists willrnoffer four distinct possibilities for theoreticalrnframeworks. While the four frameworks are ablernto stand alone, there is also the likelihood thatrnthey might be melded together in order to formrnan even richer and more robust underpinningrnfor the work of information literacy andrninstruction. This panel fills a need that hasrnheretofore been found wanting in the topic.
