摘要

Titanium Matrix Composite materials (TMCs) attract attention as the aerospace materials owing to their high specific mechanical properties. It is likely that TiB is one of the best reinforcements for the Ti-based composite because TiB has not only the outstanding mechanical properties, but also the high chemical stability in Ti matrix. Recently, we investigated the fracture toughness of TiB particle reinforced Ti3A12.5V matrix (Ti3A12.5V-TiB) composite. However, it is required the microstructural evaluation to discuss the strengthening mechanism in Ti3A12.5V-TiB composite. In this study, we evaluated the microstructure of Ti3A12.5V-TiB composite.
