Accurate Flow Control with Digital Valve System

Accurate flow control is needed in several different kinds of applications. Demands in modern machines include good controllability and performance while the system should be robust and low cost. Digital valve system is an on/off valve based flow control valve with simple mechanical structure and a sophisticated controller. The suitability of digital valve system is tested in a mining application prototype which has high requirements for control valve. The measurements are done in both laboratory and real environment. The results show that the valve system is capable of controlling flow accurately even in demanding circumstances.
