Development of a High Pressure Dilatometer for Bulk Modulus Measurements

A high-pressure dilatometer using a linear actuator has been developed to study the timedependentrnbulk modulus. The instrument has been designed to have a resolution of 7×10~(-6) cm~3rnand is capable of hydrostatic pressures up to 300 MPa. The novelty of this instrument lies in itsrntwo possible modes of operation: stress-control and strain-control.
