Noninvasive methods in indication human body motion activity are used during engineering of bioelectrical prosthesis and orthosis, which are used for replacement of lost and rehabilitation of functional disordered limbs. Information, received from human nervous system, can be interpreted by different methods. However, there is a difficulty in choosing an effective and optimal method for a particular control object. In addition to standard methods, such as electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG), some research groups during developing bioelectronic prostheses and orthoses use other methods of determining the movement or intent of move of the limbs. This article provides an overview of such methods, their advantages and disadvantages, the complexity of software and hardware implementation.
