Solar Nanoantenna is a new paradigm in green nanotechnology for generating electricity from source of all energy “Sun”. The main focus of this paper is to discuss failure of today's Photovoltaic (PV) cell technology to capitalize full spectrum of solar energy and solar nanoantenna as their future replacement. Fundamental principle, challenges, fabrication methods and applications of solar nanoantenna are also outlined in this paper. Our main aim is to generate electricity from Dark using mid-IR radiations which is available at night. We have designed nanoantenna which operates in mid-IR region specifically at 10 μm wavelength, where maximum amount of power is available.
