Study of Breeding Strains of Degrading Cyanide Efficiently in Coking Wastewater

From the strains separated from the activated-sludge of aeration tank in biochemical station of coking plant in Anhui Huainan Chemical Group Co., Ltd. We choose 2 strains called YB2 and YB3 of degrading cyanide efficiently with ultraviolet radiating for 40s and 80s. The results of experiments show that YS, YB2 and YB3 can treat coking wastewater containing cyanide efficiently, and YB2 is the best one. In addition, the growth of YB2 is influenced by temperature, pH value and NaCl concentration. The proper order of factors is tempraturOpH value>NaCl concentration according to affecting degree of seriousness, and YB2 grows well at the temperature of 30℃, pH value of 7.0 and NaCl concentration of 0.5g/mL.
