Computational fluid dynamics has become increasingly important for performance evaluation in the product development process. Computer visualization provides an efficient way to assess the performance of a product. The sonification feedback of CAD system analysis, in addition to the visual interface, can increase the amount of information the user receives, reduce the load of visual channel, and provide a comprehensive observation and analysis. From the engineering application perspective, a new method to research pump flow field status is presented through the calculation and analysis of the flow line data from the hydraulic vector field of the flow parts of a pump, visualization of the flow field, and multimode perceptual of sonification. The goal is to test the flow field, evaluate the effectiveness of sonification, and improve the product design optimization.
