In this paper, using cellulose carbamate (CC) technology, an coo-friendly soybean protein modified cellulose fiber has successfully prepared by the blend spinning of soybean protein solution and cellulose carbamate solution. The structure and properties of the fiber are studied by means of Kjeldahl Nitrogen Element Analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Thermogravimetry (TG) and tensile test. The mechanical properties of the fiber are compared with wool and silk.
