Dynamic compressive response and failure behavior of an S-2/SC15 glass/epoxy compositernalong two perpendicular directions have been determined at strain rate of 800/s with a pulse-shapedrnSHPB. The loading pulse in SHPB experiments were precisely controlled to ensure that the compositernspecimen deforms at a nearly constant strain rate under dynamically equilibrated stress during dynamicrncompression. The failure behavior of the composite along two directions was also investigated.
