A NEW APPROACH FOR TEACHING D SCRETE EVENT SIMULATION VIA WEB

In this paper, we describe a new approach for teachingrndiscrete event simulation via web. Main goal of the paperrnis to enhance existing simulation courses on e-learningrnplatform, by developing web environment for learning,rncreating and testing discrete event systems models.rnProposed approach is based on FONWebGPSS - webrnapplication designed and implemented in Laboratory forrnsimulation, University of Belgrade. We provide detailedrndescription of FONWebGPSS architecture and keyrncomponents. Further, FONWebGPSS is fully integrated inrne-learning management system Moodle. Additionally, wernillustrate a practical example of using FONWebGPSS inrnsolving a typical discrete event simulation problem.
