摘要

Modification of polypropylene with flame-retardants , glass fiber and rubber has been investigated by measurements of vertical flammability ,tensile properties , flexibility and the impact-resistance. It can be concluded that the compound flame-retardants containing bromine and some flame-retardants aids contributes good flame-resistance to the system; alkali-free glass fiber exhibits reinforcement in the system ; the rubber offers toughness improvements to it. Finally, flame-resistant PP of balanced rigidity and toughness can be made for the rainproof cover of ammeter box used outdoor.
