FEASIBLITY STUDY OF TEACHING ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY USING SECOND LIFE

Second life is a virtual 3-Dimensional world.rnRepresented by Second Life and such applications havernimportant values. Second Life`s education practicesrndemonstrate the following characteristics: diversity ofrnsubject areas, as Second Life is widely applied inrnastronomy, linguistics, medicine, art, design, business,rnhistory and other areas. Second Life is used in manyrnkinds of teaching forms, including long distance learning,rninstructional, virtual classrooms and virtual libraries. Thernvirtual Second Life world will allow the distance learningrnstudents access to a virtual laboratory with only internetrnand computer connection. There are few engineeringrnuniversities using Second Life for distance learningrncourses. Our research is unique and innovate in that wernare exploring the feasibility of the application of SecondrnLife for electrical engineering and electrical engineeringrntechnology education.
