Pattern Design for Inside Shoulder Cut Sleeve Integrating with Circular Cut Sleeve

Inside shoulder cut sleeve integrating with circular cut sleeve can lead to an assembled sleeve, which requires reliable pattern making to form sleeves with good fit and wearing comfort. In the paper a method named algebraic cut and patch was employed to make the pattern and the sample clothes of the assembled sleeve. Besides, another method named proportion cut and patch was used to make the same sample clothes for comparative experiment. The comparison showed that both the two sample clothes had good fit and wearing comfort but the former method was much more convenient to manipulate and thus was a more practical and effective way for pattern making. Finally, based on the comparative results, sample clothes with different sleeve size were made by the algebraic cut and patch method. Their fit and comfortable wear was evaluated by subjective evaluation. The experiment indicated sample clothes made by this method had good fit as well as good wearing comfort.
