摘要

At present, the majority of industrial convective dryers are offered and operated withoutrnefficient energy recovery. A main reason for this is, that the warm dryer exhaust gasesrncontain condensable vapors as well as dust, leading to severe fouling of cold heatexchangerrnsurfaces. To gain access to such phenomena a specialized experimental setuprnhas been developed, which consists of a dryer exhaust gas simulator and a measuringrnsection. In the present communication the main features of this experimental setup arerndiscussed. Criteria for the onset, relationships for the kinetics and actions for thernavoidance of fouling are the ultimate objectives of the work.
