The Implementation of a Blackboard Model in Chinese-English Bi-direction MT System CETRAN2

摘要

Existing language processors employ a number of different architectures - integrated or sequential. We employ a flexible blackboard-oriented architecture to improve the existing Chinese-English bi-direction MT system CETRAN. In the new CETRAN system ( CETRAN2 ), the solution space is structured as a rewriting linguistic hierarchy. Diverse types of problem-solving knowledge and methods implemented with a diverse set of languages are integrated with a uniform fashion. The opportunistic and incremental language processing strategy is provided. All the above enable us to expand CETRAN2 to a multilingual MT system in the future conveniently.
