A Practical Guide to Evaluating Power Quality in an Agricultural Facility

Power quality is a significant issue to many manufacturing facilities, but is a very serious issue to farmers that need dependable power to assure the good health of livestock. The purpose of this paper is to address a serious problem associated with the installation of standby generation and automatic transfer schemes in agricultural situations. In particular, this paper will discuss problems encountered at a number of chicken farms.
