摘要

The aim of this paper is to present an analytical optimisation approach under constraints of a forward converter for automotive applications. Currently, dc-dc power converters are needed to supply electronic equipment on board of cars. However, the increasing number of the electrical functions on vehicles induces several difficulties to well integrate theses power converters and to insure their simultaneous operation under good conditions. In this context, the paper proposes to design a forward converter using a developed optimisation method. This method allows to minimise the passive element volume of the studied converter with respect to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, by constraining the efficiency, by respecting dynamic and stability specifications and by constraining the semiconductor junction, the winding and the magnetic circuit temperatures. This optimisation approach is validated by time-domain simulation and measurement.
