Aluminium-Graphite Composites used for Production of Sliding Production of Bearings

The study was made to investigate the possibility to produce aluminum graphite alloys from aluminium powders and dispersed graphite particles using the methods of powder metallurgy and pressure die casting. Mechanical and tribological properties were assessed depending on various technological parameters. The effect of an alloy soaking time at 790 K (i.e. a hardening temperature) on a friction coefficient was also investigated.
