SAPO-11 molecular sieves with acid site concentrations between 0.07 and 0.30 mmol/g were synthesized. The n-heptane hydroconversion over the palladium impregnated catalysts was investigated in the temperature range from 250 deg C to 350 deg C at a pressure of 3 bar. The increasing number of strong acid sites was reflected in an enhanced catalytic activity. The selectivity to isomerization was around 95percent pver the catalysts with high silicon content and decreased with decreasing acid site concentration.
