Recent Rheometer Developments for Polymer Analysis

With an increasing demand on laboratories to produce results and data to characterise their materials, rheometer manufacturers are having to develop instruments and accessories which are multifunctional. This paper will discuss the current situation where melt analysis, dynamic mechanical and film analysis to a name a few, can be performed on a single instrument. Both hardware and software need to be flexible but easily usable for a wide range of technical backgrounds. At the same time all the developments should be kept within reasonable budget constraints to allow access for many more rheologists.
