Pipelines without protection

摘要

GRP pipes have been manufactured by the hobas centrifugal casting technique for 30 years. They are an inherently corrosion resistant pipe that does not require corrosion protection. The paper includes examples of the usage of the pipes in ballast water pipelines and corrosive power station cooling water pipework, installation by the slip lining technique, year 2000 drinking water requirements, hydroelectric schemes and design of thrust blocks.
