In many medium and high power applications resonant ZVS-inverters have been utilized for energyrntransfer especially for DC-to-DC-conversion. In order to minimize the passive components of thesernsystems the switching frequency should be as high as possible. For this, Zero-Voltage-Switchingrnmethods have been used combined with power MOSFETs especially superjunction devices. In thesernZVS-inverters there is a kind of two-step load current commutation between the active power devices,rnthe snubber capacitors and the corresponding freewheeling diodes. In this paper these current commutationsrnwill be analysed and discussed in detail for 600V-MOSFETs and 200-400kHz switchingrnfrequencies.
