摘要

A brief survey of ongoing research work done by the author and author's colleagues on the effect of stress-induced reactions on morphological structure, flowability and properties of some typically difficult processing polymer and polymer nanomaterials is given in this paper. A pan-mill type equipment has been designed by our Lab. for pulverizing and bringing about stress reactions of polymer. It can exert a pretty strong squeezing in normal directions and a shearing force in both radial and tangential directions like a pair of three-dimensional scissors. The experimental results show that the flowability of pan-milled mPE, UHMWPE and PVC etc is markedly improved, the mechanical properties get enhanced also. The method proposed is viable, easy in operation, clean and efficient.
