Photodynamic therapy of cancer of the penis

Abstract: Carcinoma of the penis is one of the most commonly encountered cancers in males, being the 10th of the male malignant tumors. The traditional surgical therapy often leads to function disturbance and psychological suffering of the patients. It is, therefore, not easily accepted by the patients, thereby delaying the time of treatment. From March 1984 to January 1990 we have used photodynamic therapy (PDT) for fifteen patients of this sort of cancer and good results have been obtained.!0
