Colourless ONU module with remote modulation of an optical carrier in burst mode configuration

摘要

A passive optical access network based on time division multiple access and colourless optical network unit is demonstrated. The burst mode configuration operates at 1.25 Gbit/s up to 20 km for three different scenarios using single-or two-fibre optical feeder with respectively 16 dB and 21 dB optical budgets.
