Most popular object-oriented modeling techniques (OOMTs) provide good support for the creation of structured conceptual models of systme beahovior and structure.A serious drawback of these techniques is that the ocncpets and notraitons used are loosely defined.htis can lead to the creation of amobiguous models,and to disagreeements over the proper use and interpretation of modelling constructs.An important modellign construct that is oftne loosely defiend is aggregaiton,.in this paper we presnt a characteirizaiton of aggregation that cna help devleopers identify appropriate applciatiosn of the concept.
